Brands Hatch Friday 15th November
Discussion
So you all know my 205 GTI....well thanks to my awesome wife who for our first wedding anniversary bought me a track day at Brands!
I had already been down as a VIP with Peugeot a while back and I made friends with one of the instructors, who also fell in love with Pugly so he jumped at the chance to give me a day of his personal time to give me 1-1 tuition all day!
I have to say I learnt so much...I have done track days before but its a totally different experience when you have tuition all day!
Here a few of the pics of Pugly in action....just to prove she is no garage queen/show w
e.
Didn't miss a beat on the 96 miles that I did on track...even got past some faster cars too

Hi mate,
I was at that too, silver classic impreza with my friend in the matt black mx5.
That little 205 looked great going round, lovely clean little car being used properly.
glad you enjoyed yourself

Yeah she does go well considering its done 138k, French and is 25 years old!
I have done track time before Castle Combe twice, Cadwell Park and one lap of the ring....been doing a lot of static car shows the last couple of years which are fun but I did some concours stuff and I got bored of it so back out to be used and abused as intended!

Ahhh thanks!
Your car was a missile...looked pretty awesome too!
Thanks, it's still proving a learning experience for me in order to get the most out of it, even after 3yrs with it. Friday's chilly track temperature meant I was struggling with front-end grip on turn-in, so I thought I'd finally give trail braking into corners a go. Made a world of difference. Yeah it was a smidge on the chilly side...warmed up for the middle of the day though. Think we were mega lucky with having sunshine all day long though.I found my 1-1 training made the world of difference I would recommend it to anyone if they can find a tame racer to come help

The black Exige? You lent me a trolley jack, cheers!
I'll get a few of my pics up in a bit.
James
Credit goes to my friend, Nathan, for that one. We were sharing the garage, and he brought the plethora of tools for his Fiesta. But yes, that was me you came up and asked initially as I was packing stuff into the Lotus. Hope it worked out ok!

All worked out fine thanks.
Wasn't anything major, brake fluid level light came on (sticky sensor!) & as I removed the cap I dropped the bloody thing. It landed in the most ridiculous inaccessible place on top of the suspension arm.
And as I don't have 3 elbows on each arm or fingers like ET I had to jack it up to get to it!
The Exige looked & sounded fantastic round there by the way.
If I'd known you were a fellow PH'er I'd have mentioned it. The MX sports a little PH sticker but its hidden under the dirt!
