Harness for road/track mx5

After flinging my mx5 (!) round Goodwood, I think I need to get a four point harness, as I also will be removing the airbag steering wheel and replacing with something a bit better.

Have been doing a bit of digging and am confused by the mot rules regarding harnesses as the road legal decent harnesses are £70 more than a standard 4 pointer, don't really want to keep the seat belt in.

6 or 4 point harness will get through an MOT fine, I have Sabelt 6-pointers in mine and had no issues at its last MOT.
