Anyone else going?
Thinking of booking it, but worried my car will be over the 98db. Might just pop up in the morning to have It tested and book if it passes (hopefully spaces left)

My iphone app says 95-95db at 4k revs from various angle near the exhaust

(Cars a westfield on webber 25's)

Donington measure it drive-by, not static.

A good day made extremely difficult by 4 Radical's from what looked like a factory team bullying their way round the track in the Intermediate group. WTF was that all about and why is it allowed on a track day open to Jo Public? shoot

Was out in that group as well and agree it was a very greasy circuit with a number of cars out....Radicals then make it tricky to develop a flow once you have found space

I agree re: the radicals.

Was out in advanced group as inter had no spaces left. The radicals were having a shake down with some pro's in. As nice as they were to chat to they took no prisinors on track and were hassling you mid corner where you couldn't really get out of the way. Was nice to blat round with some of the caterhams though, even though my home made wet softer set up wasn't as good as their wet set up.

Where did the silver 106 loose it and roll?.

I believe he lost it at McCleans although I'm not 100% certain on that. Pretty unfortunate to flip the car in the kitty litter.

On the Radicals I don't believe they are experience cars, pretty sure they were full on racers. I'm all for sharing the track with like minded people, but not with people who shove you out the way mid-corner or take you 3 a breast down the main straight. And as has already been said you spent most of your time looking in the mirror for where they would ambush you next rather than on your driving, lines, technique, etc...

The etiquette was very poor today. The track was very greasy and my car was a handful. I had one MX5 overtaking around Red gate, I needed the outside of the track that he had stolen from me. I complained to the Marshall's about him as I was nearly in danger of punching his lights out.
The Radicals were so much quicker that I never got any rhythm going. I switched to the Novice group in the afternoon and had a much better experience, with fewer people on track and much more courteous driving.

Regarding the Silver Peugeot that flipped ...it was at Macleans and whilst I did not see the accident happen I did see it still flipping through the air. I think it hit the Kitty litter backwards and side on, dug in and flipped, seemed very high speed too.
