Hi All,

My brilliant wife has let slip one of my xmas pressies is a MSV Novice Trackday on 14th Feb . That gives me two months to look forward to it, pray for a dry clear winter day, and find somewhere to stay nearby that ideally has undercover parking. Does anybody have any recommendations of good places to stay where they have covered parking / garaging. We are likely going down together so ideally would find somewhere a bit more interesting than the usual Holiday Inn / PTI options for the valentine weekend (Valentine night in hotel, trackday, heaven?).

Also, is anybody else from PH going to be there? I was very thankful to hear that she booked a novice day because a) it has been about 4 years since I drove a car on track b) I haven't driven my Caterham (Roadsport K series 140bhp, 5sp, CR500s, widetrack, open diff) on track at all, and am expecting it so be somewhat brilliant but potentially very very fast indeed so one to work up to through the day.

Will be interesting, when I drive to work or otherwise at the moment it is hilarious when tyres are freezing and roads cold/damp. Hope the day is dry at least!

Thanks all!

The Thistle is ok, but if you want to take the other half and make it a bit more special try this.... http://www.handpickedhotels.co.uk/hotels/brandshat...

The Bull Hotel in Wrotham village is 10-15 mins away & is very nice. Traditional, log fire, good food. Don't know what the rooms are like as I live 30 mins away.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I shall check them out.

And yes, that I'd the sessioned TD, 6 x 20 minute sessions.

www.trackotel.com is quite good for finding hotels near most circuits.

The Thistle really is a dump. I'd avoid if at all possible.

I use to work at this hotel and it is a nice place to stay , literally 2 mins from the back of brands and bout 5-10mins to main entrance of brands.
