Was that the red VX with lots of aero addenda? Bad luck about the roof; I don't think I saw you on track but the car looked great in the pitlane! I had a blast in my grey AW11 MR2, it's pretty much standard throughout but even ~100bhp got me sideways enough to see the "NO DRIFTING!" board, it was so slippery out there! Wet trackdays really suit it I think - almost no tyre wear and I wasn't getting buzzed by Radicals and caterhams every 30 seconds for once!
Edit - just noticed that every sentence in that post has an exclamation mark after it. I think I am still buzzing . . .

I saw a blue Clio spin on the sighting lap at the hairpin into the straight, quite amusing but shows how slippery it was! Why are they so anti-oversteer ("drifting" if you must) in the wet? I understand the issues around tyre squeal and noise in the dry, but if you are trying to push a RWD car in those conditions (and why else would you be there?) you are always going to end up going sideways at some point.

Steve, was that you who got no drifting board on the first siting lap lol??
Me and a mate were the nutters in the 137bhp B class
Yes, I had the traction switch off and I was simply "testing" the grip level on cold tyres, I soon found out the grip level wasn't there lol..Me and a mate were the nutters in the 137bhp B class

Ouch, that's bad luck.
I thought you were just a fellow tough northerner, though
Even with no heater in the car it Wasnt too bad actually. I am a tight northerner though, tight enough that I'm going for a run tomorrow to see how much of the A1 I can cover on foot to find the roof. It must be somewhere haha!I thought you were just a fellow tough northerner, though
