Thruxston noise limits

Notice a few days coming up and never been and it's local ish, however 90dB limit, no my car won't pass as tested at 92dB at Snetterton last week. Thing is 90dB is really quiet isn't it, more standard road car noise, anything aftermarket would fail to meet 90dB wouldn't it?

Yes its a really low limit, did a day there last yr (its well well worth doing a day there real challenge for experienced folk in somat quick) I couldn't take my normal track car due to noise- im local ish & went for a noise test pre just to check, the car I took was whisper quiet & stock exhaust but were many cars there on aftermarket systems, some sounding fairly fruity but had no issues oddly.

Ok maybe worth me taking a trip there for a sound check then incase I'm ok after all. :-)

I spoke to MSE yesterday

A summary :

Last yr I called and was told it was a with the 2-11 due to noise
I call yesterday and I am told a 2-11 got on track - so you should as well no problems

It was suggested to call Pat at Thruxton to see what the noise limits are !

Be aware that 211s left the factory with two exhaust options - you need the standard quiet one to stand a chance - the Stage 1 will be far too loud.

I have a std one fitted but now replaced with a 2tublar backbox (92 db)
I also have an additional trackday silencer from Jim (which is 87 d)

I am informed there is no drive by testing

I attended a day at thruxton last year standard vx no problem on noise and strangely noble was ok !!! Can't be a drive by testing as there is no way the noble would pass
