Hi Guys,

I'm really looking for feedback on a Trackday Recorder App we're working on.

Idea is that you record the drive on your phone (or certain external cameras) then configure the overlay later in the comfort of your own home.

We can put a fair amount of data on the overlay with different skins - but I'd love to hear if people think we're going in the right direction with this or no.

Very slow preview below:

Ta muchley,
Mark

Looks great. Most of these things look like total garbage imho, graphically at least.

How do you get the data to overlay?

Thanks! The data comes from Clickdrive. This beta version has the overlay running on the phone - but we'll move that to the 'cloud' so you can reconfigure without the whole burn/upload cycle.

Looks like its running on Android, which is nice smile

Looks like a nice layout. Is there different style gauges? Have you tried it with external GPS jobbies?

Yep Rob - this one's on 'droid! We certainly plan to build different style gauges - any suggestions?

External GPS - you mean the external GPS cameras? If I get you right, the overlay in the vid is synced with a the external mounted Contour cam (with built in GPS)

Mark, I was thinking of external GPS like a Garmin GLO which works at 10hz instead of a phones 1hz. I'm not sure what speed the Contour receives GPS data at? On your video it looks like the flashing light next the rpm is the data rate, which is going quicker than 1hz anyway so sounds like you have it in hand!

Thanks for explaining Rob!

You're right: phone/Contour is 1Hz but we are also building hardware that runs a 10Hz GPS unit so Garmin GLO should work fine. I'd send you a link but I think that's against forum policy (one can always google)

Cheers,
Mark
