As per the title really, I'll be there with a mate sharing the VX. Plus have another mate going that has just purchased a GT86. Hope the weather's nice. smile

I've just booked, so the weather is now guaranteed. Guaranteed to do what I'm not sure! I should be there with my Radical SR3 or Megane RS and my mate will be there in his Exige/Megane RS/Clio Cup, depending on whether he thinks it might rain. If he takes the Exige, we are in for a good day because he doesn't like getting it wet! Come along and find us. Mark.

Let us know how it goes, thinking of booking Bedford for 19th April in the VX220. Who is running the event?

It's with Javelin, 2nd time I've taken the VX there with Javelin, went last October too. I like Bedford, although it's flat, it has every type of corner you could wish for really. I know the VX runs out of legs sometimes and I get taken on the straights with ease. But then, I do drive very carefully (it's my pride and joy after all) and give drivers a lot of room and time to get past me. But in the corner's the VX is awesome and can catch some quite nice metal through the twists. smile

Just checked your profile and seen that you have a VXT, so you shouldn't be as slow as me getting down the straights.......with that pig-iron lump in the back, you'll just be slow in the corners!! wink

I was going to mention the weather but didn't wan to ginx it :-)

2nd time at bedford, was last there in November with Javelin. Done a few mods to the car since then - track tyres, uprated discs, uprated pads, braided brake hoses, racing brake fluid, full rear strip out.

Am booked in for this, but a bit concerned about noise level of 101DB, Have a 997.2 GT3RS, is it worth me turning up? Are they strict?

A bit late to this question I know but I think you may struggle Steve.

'Normal' GT3's get past the noise test but….

Nice car though - all the best

I got through the static test, managed to get in about 20 laps peppered with "noise" board and one or two black flags for noise, then got sent home mid afternoon... don't think they liked my drifting either!

Had a lot of fun though :O)

It's a great track.

Glad you managed to get some laps in. It's a track where they really are strict on the noise limits. Only Thruxton is tougher 90DB!

The silver VX went well as did the one with the huge wing.

I was with a friend in the grey and green Caterham Academy car. I'll stick some photos up tomorrow.
