Bedford track day this Saturday 3rd May
Discussion
Track & Tour events cancelled the day at Bedford this Saturday and at the moment no one else has picked it up.
Trying to rally interest (simply because I wanted to go - it's a bank holiday so why not?!) and encourage someone like Javelin to pick this up and offer it for this weekend.
Let's see of the power of Pistonheads forums can have any impact at all.
Was anyone on here booked onto the T&T event before they canned it?

It could be revived!! We have a few short hours (maybe day or two) to get enough interest.
£200 for the GT circuit day, the weather looks ideal and it's a bank holiday so surely everyone wants to have a go?
I assure you PH i am a random punter who just wants this to happen and have no vested interest but for everyone who wants to sign up, do so immediately to see if we can get enough people together:
Please email asap YES if you would attend the event at this price. If we get a good response quickly then we will commit and run this weekend event at a fantasic price

I had an email chat with him and said I would do everything I could to try and get a few more to try and make it financially viable.
A long shot but if we could get another 20-25 he might still do it. Obviously he'd still have all the details for you and others who were keen.
Any chance you can rally some more?

I love Bedford, its about the only one I go to at the moment for convenience and fun.
Their limit is 101db, Simon, and my car must have lost some 'packing' or whatever everyone calls it as 3 years ago I was passing 98db static tests and now I am 101db!
Car sounds better so I know they are right but they let me in on the limit as they also know the drive-by is so quiet!

Just to add to your noise debate, we were having problems with the noise test at Bedford yesterday. 101 static limit.
They sensibly do it as you arrive, so car warm, but the weather was overcast and a building close by didn't help, and loads of us were failing. I have never been 103dB before with cans bolted on. A Porsche GT3RS, which sounded like a Flymo, also scored 103, much to his surprise.
The testers used their common sense and decided to pass the borderline ones and rely on their drive by meters.
I have to say, nothing on track sounded even remotely loud, and only one person got pulled in for a chat. I think he went past a drive by at max revs in third - I was flicking it into fourth just before the meter and changing down again for the next corner.
It's a great circuit (we had the full 3.8 mile GT circuit) with loads of run off, so do try to get your noise levels down and keep going there.....
