Keevil is a good track. Getting the hairpin right is a pain.

Would come down but got the docs annoyingly.

Hope you all enjoy it. Mse are really good with the organisation

Were you in the nice Noble ? it was a cracking day weather wise, not sure the track layout was the greatest, but a good place to do some testing for us.

There were a few quick cars there, a black MK1 Golf was going well, and the MGB was flying.

Yep white M3, it was probably Jason who was chatting to you at lunch time who did the flying past bit, I had my appendix ripped out a couple of weeks ago so was driving like Miss Daisy on Monday lol.

Good day though.

I was in the MGB testing the engine so wasn't running at full throttle but was amassed at the marshaller at the start point telling me I was holding people up and that I should look in my mirrors... not a lot I could say

I caught up with you at the hairpin, even waved to your rear camera lol, I was very impressed with the acceleration of your car, I do have some film of it, followed you for half a lap and then slotted in behind my mate in the red 328 to do some filming for him.

Oh and I got shown the naughty boy flag for overtaking by the brake marker, it was a fair cop, just didn't expect the car in front to brake so early (clio) thought it better to go past than hit him up the arse.

I was testing the engine re-build and new gearbox(Running in)so was being careful, I was using some old knackered tyres so was loosing quite a lot of grip but enough to test the car, getting some good power slides out of the far bend, yes the acceleration can be good, never had the camera fitted, were u in the bm with slicks on

Yes Paul, I run some old ex BTTC touring car slicks, god knows how old they are but they seem to get sticky and hang on fairly well.

I was managing to lose grip coming out of the hairpin if I was a bit too eager on the loud pedal.

1st outing this year, track was a bit green from the rain the day before, lost the back end going in to Tower, hard on the brakes and I think a quick down change, the back end just snapped round on me, ended up on the grass and back wards in to the tyre wall.

I love Coombe but not too much run off.

Just found this thread and thought I should just put my hand up as having been there too. Should have realised that there would be PH people around. I was the black Exige that was having fun coming to a new appreciation of the words "lift-off oversteer" at the far end of the straight. smile

Had a great day, gorgeous weather, friendly people and well organised and run. The track itself is an interesting layout. I really struggled with a few of the corners, just couldn't seem to find the right line through them, or would get it right one lap then fluff it the next. In a word, challenging. smile
