I don't have any TD insurance and the cheapest cost is around £150. Add that to a typical TD cost and it makes one quiet pricey if I use my Evora. I've done a lot of TDs in my Elise without insurance but driving a £50,000 car without it seems too big a risk. I may have to just do TDs in the Clio Williams frown

Cheapest way to do it is get a road policy that includes a set number of track days per year

Mannings are good if you don't do overseas track days, Classicline cover overseas at about £75 a day extra, UK based events are included in your premium.

I'd have thought there would be enough alternative cars at 1/10th of the price that you could still have fun with on a trackday but if you do want to use the Evora (understandable!), even if you managed to cut the insurance cost in half it would still probably only save 10% off the day by the time you've covered fuel,/tyres/brakes etc as well as entry……...

Just renewed my Elise insurance with REIS. I got insurance cover for four trackdays for an extra £50 on my road policy. Excess is 10% vehicle value.

I have to say that as the norm for me when I factor in ALL costs & wear & tear for the year, averaged over the number of TDs I do the cost is around £350/400 each day anyway.

Yep I can use the Clio Williams but its no Evora. That said I've never tracked that so maybe that's the way to go and many ay its more fun in old cheapies than the cars like my Evora. It seems such a shame not to get the Evora on track though.

I currently use Mannings which include unlimited UK track days in their road cover policy. REIS offers 4 track days (Inc some Euro circuits - I think) in their cover and I think CCI offers 5.

Track day excess is generally 10% of value of car.

You might be surprised how good the Clio is. If you are handy in the Lotus make sure you get a bit of instruction in the Renault though, it's a very different style of driving and may not make sense at first!

My policy on the 2-11 includes 6 or 8 trackdays and the policy is competitively priced vs. the likes of admiral.

Only around 100 ish more
