Greetings
Just want to give a big thumbs up to Javelin track days for organising a brilliant event.
I can highly recommend this track and organiser for anybody wanting to break their track day virginity as i did.
Just a heads up for any first timers, keep an eye on your brakes; as i cooked mine after 20 or so laps.
Tyres held up reasonably well :-)

Had a great time too! Was in for just the afternoon session as I didn't want to abuse the car too much! Well organised and really enjoyed it. Really bonding with the car now and it was great to feel it move around a lot at speed through the corners - except for a safe 360+ degree spin at one point! The PCCB's were also amazing with no loss of feel or long pedals.
Cheers, Jon

You came at the right time, it was very damp in the morning, lost the back end on my 3rd lap right in front of the pit straight!Cheers, Jon

In fairness 20 laps is a pretty heavy session for a road car, especially if you're on one of the longer bedford combos, but also (seriously with no offence intended), BMW's seem to have a bit of a rep for cooking brakes unless they're an 'M' car - they seem to have a bit less headroom for enthusiasm than others.Just a heads up for any first timers, keep an eye on your brakes; as i cooked mine after 20 or so laps.

Its a common complaint i read a lot, so should have known better, but i guess all the excitement and adrenaline got to my head :-DGassing Station | Track Days | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
