A comment on the video says it was a mechanical failure, wonder if there is any truth to that.
I wonder when this happened and what the damage was to the Lotus.
I'm aware of two incidents in recent months with car to car contact on trackdays that were caused by out of control race cars. In one of these incidents the driver that caused the contact was back out on track when they should've had their wristband removed. Not sure what happened to the at-fault driver after the other incident.
I wonder if the ATDO/TDOs keep any records of statistics of car to car contact on trackdays? These people should be banned from trackdays if they are negligent and it results in a collision with someone else. One day the consequences might be more serious.
