Just booked a place, anyone else going? It is my second track day, and first time at Snetterton, it looks like a great track!

Hi Edward, we will be there. We were supposed to be there on Monday but unfortunately couldn't make it. Snetterton is a great track and I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

Nice one, I assume you will be in a Radical smile. I should have mentioned I am only doing the evening session - didn't realise there was a day session too until I went to book tickets.

Yes will be in a Radical PR6. We may still be loading up when the evening session is starting. Have fun.

I'll be there in a blue E46. Haven't done Snetterton in a while and remember it being quick and technical...see you there.

Will be there with my Orange Supercharged Chimaera.

Going to be staying at the Breckland Lodge Tuesday night - anyone up for a drink?

A friend will be there in an r32 GTR skyline tomorrow.... What he lacks in talent he makes up for in stickers - his whole car is plastered in them!

If it doesn't break during the sighting laps I'd be interested to know if he makes it past lunch.. And any stories of him being passed by something with a tenth as much power wink

He is pretty quick though smile

It wouldn't be a blue Calsonic liveried skyline driven by Christian Wood would if? If it is, I was a passenger in this last year during Fast Eddys dealer day :P

Really enjoyed today. We had a bit of difficulty with the race silencer tripping the noise meter in the morning so had to run the quiet one for the rest of the day.

Good to meet you JKing, hope you enjoyed your day.

Perfect conditions.
I didn't get to meet everyone as I left at lunchtime.
MSV ran the day really well and all drivers were very respectful and sensible. This has restored my confidence in MSV running decent days, as I was on the day 2 weeks ago plagued by bad Fiesta drivers.
I did meet Christian briefly, his R32 is very cool. How many times does he need to change the oil on a track day?!

The evening session was pretty much perfect. The track was nice and quiet for the most part, and the weather and conditions were amazing. There were a three red flags during the session, I didn't see what happened for the first one (which I was out for), but it was resolved quickly enough. Soon after that there was a pretty big oil spill which closed the track for 15 minutes or so (while I was eating an ice cream). The last happened a few minutes before the session ended, and was the result of a Clio having a (minor) engine fire.

Having previously only driven Brands indy (and that only once), Snetterton 300 is definitely a step up in complexity. The section from the end of Bentley straight, through Brundle, Nelson, Bomb Hole, Coram, and Murray's is just awesome! Feathering the throttle through Coram and then balancing grip and braking on the way into Murray's was the best feeling I have had driving a car cloud9. The most difficult corner for me was Oggies. I got myself into more difficulty here than any other point on the track, the apex is very early in the corner, and it is deceptively tight going in.

I drove quite a long final session (~40 miles) and started to find some rhythm. I was helped by being behind a car with similar pace (E36), which was being driven quite conservatively. This helped me find the right lines and braking points, and was a very handy thing. Definitely a track to go back to smile

great day!
i think the quality of the paddock is the biggest factor though. only 60 cars but the vast majority had trailers, wagons and support vehicles. no muppets and everyone very experienced.

Those green Caterhams were a bit slow...
