Track Day Insurance
Discussion
Hi,
Just bought a Lotus Elise with a friend, planning on doing a few track days each year, modifying the car a bit as we go along....you know how it is
One area we are unsure of, is what does everyone do about track day insurance?
I've seen insuremytrackday.com - tried to get insurance on a 458 recently and they couldn't insure it...
Can anyone point us in the right direction for any other decent insurers?
Many thanks.

With an Elise you're in a pretty good spot here. My road policy for the Elise was around £450 (will be different for everybody I know) but it includes 6x trackdays too. Competition Car Insurance are my current insurers but there are a few "classic car" specialists which offer similar.
My previous car (Subaru STI) had a road policy in the 500's and I had to then pay an extra £80 per track day - so the same six trackdays would be close to £1000 in total over the year. That was with Greenlight.
Enjoy.
