trackday insurance and who can drive

I was wondering if the people on a track day insurance need to be the same as the people on the normal road cover?

The reason I ask is , my daughter wants to do some track days in my car with me , but as she is only 24 I would rather not put her on the main car insurance until then.

Assuming the track day cover is not an extension of your normal road insurance that is.

No, as said above, if you take separate track day cover. So long as the track day insurer agrees to cover the driver.

If, like me, you have track day cover in with your car cover, then yes.
