Rob

I use Yokohama A052 on my Ginetta G20. They are fantastic. They wear well, but what is good is that they are excellent in both the dry and in damp to wet conditions. Here's a video of the car on them at Spa. The race start is about 4.30 in https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X4xA5rRoutk&t=...

I used NS2R on both my r53 & e36 with good results.

also consider Nankang AR1s, though i'd say they were dry weather only. probably go with NS2Rs in the wet.

I've been using AD08S, which aren't great, and squeal a lot, but last amazingly well. 10 track days on my current set and a good few days left in them.

MRFs are great. Way better than R888r and the likes of NS2R / 651 as a dry tyre in my personal experience. Allegedly on par with Nankang's AR1, with the faster of the two being vehicle dependent, but I can't comment personally as I have no direct experience of the AR1.

MRF were recommended to me by the race engineer who aligned and corner-weighted my car.

I found MRFs in 195/50/16 to be faster than R888r in 205/50/16, with better feedback and feel and with better tyre life. If they offer improved value for money vs. AO52s and Direzzas for you, then a good choice imo, if you can get the size you need.
