Hi All,

Heading over to the ring on Saturday afternoon and returning on Monday afternoon. Ring is open to the public from 9am - 7pm on Sunday and again at 1pm on Monday.

Let me know if any fellow PHers will be there, to share passenger laps and perhaps a few beers - can reccomend a good/cheap hotel in the area.

Also have a spare seat in a Ring Taxi on the Sunday should anyone wish to share

Cheers

Simon

Simon, I'm planning to be there with a mate, look for green & black elises on Dutch plates. Which car are you going to be in?

May be interested in the taxi seat too.

Cheers,

Dave

Pikey and I will be there from Saturday to Monday; Pikey in his dark grey Coxster, me in my white Integra. There are 4 other cars in our group.

We're staying in the Tiergarten and will be in the Pistenklause each night from around 8pm. Come and say hello!

Definitely interested in the Ring-Taxi seat, if it's still available! How long ago did you book it?

Hi Alex,

Good to hear other PHers will be there! Booked the taxi just yesterday, but suspect I was very lucky, happened to call straight after cancellation!

Seat hasn't gone yet and first person to offer a third of the price on the day can have it.

Will definately look for you guys - had a passenger lap at Snett on Monday in a DC5 Integra?, fully stripped and caged. Have to say I was absolutely amazed with the grip and balance of the handling.

See you there!

Cheers

I've set up a webcam recorder that will capture every image from the Ring webcam from now until Wednesday. So on Wednesday, if you let me know roughly what time you were there, I should be able to find the webcam pic with your car in it!

just on the boat back and I still can't believe Alex got a place just like that!

opened late on saturday. Sunday was sunny but damp to start, drying fast. The morning was ok, but the afternoon turned to madness with lots of closures. Some of the guys stayed out for this afternoon - something I wish I'd done too.

Still on the ferry, but should have the pics up this evening.

Pikey, good to see you and your mates there. Bob and I took off after the 5pm closure. Any idea when it opened again? If it was the predicted 6pm that last 1.5hrs would have been absolute magic

It was a nightmare. Lots of bad ones. Opened again at 18:20, closing for the day at 18:40 (another bad one - before the scheduled end of 18:50). In hindsight, I wish I stayed today as well.. looked like it would be very quiet this afternoon.

Great weekend! The weather was blazing!

Simon, thanks VERY much for the Ring-Taxi ride, and for the pax lap in your M3 Evo; very nice car. When I got home, my wife told me that she had been thinking of booking the Ring-Taxi for my 40th birthday next year; oh well, she'll have to think of something else...

Here we are on the webcam, going out for the lap in my car:
