iwhat kind of cars do you generaly get at trackdays? would my 850 T5 estate be the worst thing there???? i imagine its all M3's,TVR's,Porsche's and exige's

Depends entirely on whos day & where, all of the above tho I've only seen a couple of TVRs in a few yrs of all types of track days hmm I dunno 30+ I suppose, they mainly go to TreVoR club days so they can blow up & wallow round together
You do see the odd fast ones that dont go bang tho, generally Cerbs driven by 'hands' Somat like a Trackzone day at donny is usually full of chav shiteboxes & chavbaru impretzels & mitzishitis etc & associated awful driving, or to take that to another level go to a Coombe action day, never have so many ASBO violations been in one place at the same time! low IQ Rotweiler owners the lot of 'em
or go to somat like a Goldtrack noisy day & you will see such exotica with such massive pricetags that you wont quite belive your eyes & woudl rather lick most of the cars in the paddock than drive round
BAT & easyt tend to have more normal track day fodder, older bimmers, clios, golfs, 205s, scumbarus, caterhams, Nissan 200s, 944s, etc.
Other days are fast caterham & radical or radical 'esk over load.
It will be a tad unusual to have a t5 on track & I'm sure the blokes in the Caterhams & 7 esks will love the old Scania sized t5 on track tho, if you smack into them not even dental records will help they will be so mashed! but ive seen all sorts out for a quick play
You won't be the worst car there tho, heck I could be there, team rust racing

Iguana... you so owe me a keyboard!! Top posting.
We get Volvos on our days. As long as you aren't too vile to your brakes you'll be just fine. It doesn't matter what car you're in, it's who's driving it that's imporant. You can get the nicest bloke in a £1k car and the biggest onanist in the world in a £300k car.

I've seen one go around Spa quite nicely, but as mentioned do be careful with the brakes if they're standard. When that particular one came in, they were 'a tad warm'....i.e. smoking!
It also tried to roll away after the owner had parked it, presumably because the handbrake was only on lightly perhaps and once everything had cooled down it was ineffectual. Having said that, I did give me a claim to fame that I caught a Volvo 850! (Yes, I was stupid enough to get behind it to stop it.....probably not so clever in hindsight)

Go for it. I reckon there should be more estates on trackdays. Particularly fun when you find a kindred wardrobe hauler to play with. Just don't forget to let the labrador out of the back before your first session. They love it but I'm not sure it's good for them.
lol dont joke about the dog
i could see myself doing that

I'd be more than happy to sign on a dog as a passenger... Bit of a job getting the helmet to fit though!

Have done a few trackdays in my Saab and it didn't look too out of place - so your 850T5 will be fine. Will probably surprise a few people in the "exotics" as well. After all its down to driver ability more than the car. I did one day when a while back and i was pretty slow in the morning, then i went out with an instructor and all of a sudden my boring old 14yr old Saab was passing some supposedly better machinery. Have driven my mates rica chipped 850R estate and it has to be said they are pretty rapid an dont seem to handle too badly either.
Go out and have some fun...
