I've recently purchased an OMP helmet which was stated as being to BS blue label std. and therefore ok for trackdays and karting.
Now the thing's arrived i note that it has no blue sticker and is marked E13 (encircled) 3000 on the visor. Inside, on the chinstrap, is marked E13 (encircled again) 050123 / p-2618. Can anyone decipher this into some kind of standards as i've struggled via the medium of google.
It's a good lid and i'm happy with it, just concerned that at some venues with strict scrutineers it could pose a problem.
Thoughts welcomed......

I too bought an OMP lid that wasn't fully FIA approved to use for trackdays, a nice open face affair to keep me cool. I also have a full face helmet which was Noah's slightly smaller scale project after the ark and was FIA approved at some point but is a right rotting box of sweat now.
I've worn both at trackdays and the full face at karting events and never had an official, a scrutineer or anyone else for that matter batter an eyelid. I really wouldn't worry about it.
FYI, it generally means it doesn't meet the fire standards and your bonce will be burnt alongside your face and the rest of your body should a fire occur. In which case your buggered anyway.

Wildcard, with regards to my head burning with my body - what about my beautiful face, lol! Aware of the fire proofing issue and not of concern but was wondering if it may cause trouble with scrutineers at some venues, sounds like you've been ok with yours though which is good news.
Toltec, I've had a good squint inside and haven't found any more numbering or stickers.

D'you know... some bozo once rang me up and asked if I could recommend a cheap second hand helmet!
I can only assume he had a cheap second hand brain. From memory his car was worth about £50k.
Nowt so queer...

See them for sale often enough on fleebay, always sell too. Amazes me even if only for sticking your napper where someone else's been sweating away, let alone the safety aspects!

Oh well, just an idea. I use an Arai karting helmet made to the Snell K2005 rating (basically same as race spec SA2005 but without the flame proofing) for track days, it has not got any rating stickers on the outside just on the polystyrene under the lining. I was a bit concerned if it would be acceptable so I used to take a battered old AGV bike helmet just in case, no marshal/scrutineer has ever even asked to look at it. I suppose it looks new and has an Arai badge...
