Been looking around a few Trackday Insurance website now, but unsure on who to go with.

What insurers have any of you guys used?

Thanks
Nick

Under no circumstances buy single day track insurance cover. Its phenomenally expensive.

Instead take out your road policy with someone who will either

a) include trackdays free (e.g. Porsche Club days if you get Porche Club Insurance Policy from Performance Marque or A. Manning)

b) include trackdays at a reasonable charge per day ( say £60 to £70 )

Anything else is horribly expensive. I've been quoted £500 for a day's cover! Laughed? I nearly collapsed.

I'm insured with A Manning, covers all Porsche Club Track Days and Days organised by members of the ATDO (Association of Track Day Organisers), they may do something for every manufacturer.....

No limit to the Number of Trackdays, just an additional excess on Track days...

I insured my car previously for a day which was very expensive, £180 for the day with £1800 excess!!!!

the trouble with standalone track day insurance is that it is a mighty high risk so having it in with a more regular risk makes it cheaper. Of course the risk one runs is that a track accident then counts as an accident for future road insurance policies potentially affecting risk and ncb.

I have a policy with Competition Car Insurance and it allows 4 free trackdays with approved TD providers (covers most you will come across). I plan on renewing with Heritage if its not too expensive as the TD cover is unlimited...
