phil - yes, Silver grey CSL

alimc1 - yes, should be SW circuit so not too hard on the brakes and plenty of run off. Couple of places left -Easytrack.co.uk

Too close to me to turn it down..................

Im going, but I must be mad because the last time I went up there on a friday, it took me nearly 5 hours from kent.
Only ended up with an hour or so on track, which just about made up for it.

well a beautiful evening with clear skies and a dry track at bedford

a really broad range of cars and experience, with a few interesting moments including a caterham (type car) spilling fuel every corner for 3 laps, an 07 RS4 that had no idea which side of the track to be on, a new Audi R8, a quick 993 RS that had a rim disintegrate on the straight outside the pit area.

for those going to bedford in the future the soouth west circuit that they tend to use in the evening sessions is much better than the GT with a higher average speed and some better flowing corners whilst still being about as safe as you can get on a UK trackay.

good to meet you phil and that Elise and you were seriously quick (did you say 300bhp?)

bring the CSL next time

Shim, sounds like an interesting evening..could you say more about the 993rs incident, I track one often at Bedford and obviously fin it slightly alarming, were they the standard speedlines or aftermarket rims?..cheers

scott - nope, did try a couple of times but kept bottling it. Maybe save it for a winter or wet track day...................

clubsport - dont know as i havent got a clue about porsches but looked like some sort of silver 5 spoke as all that was left of rear n/s was the hub and a little bit of the spokes and all the rest of the wheel and tyre had gone!

It was a Ruf car.

Wheels looked aftermarket, but I might be wrong. Fortunately the chap managed to borrow someones space saver.

My bloody rear pirelli blew too. Luckily the can of Holts foam did the trick...worked much better than the porsche glue. Otherwise it was a great evening

Hi Shim

Good to meet you too! My Elise is around 300bhp. Still learning how to get the best out of it.

Sorry to see the wheel failure on the RUF. Could have been a lot worse.

Cheers

RUF hey

i wondered why it was so quick, i thought he was just doing the corners much better than me and getting a run on the straight aways....

peter - it was me that pointed out the puncture on your back left pirelli just before you started swearing about your new tyres!!! and glad to hear the holts worked. i think that peugeut on the way out of the circuit was wondering why you were going at such a modest pace and then pulled over do i had to go past him and you otherwise he might have sat there all day.

i hope you got back ok. That stuff works well when used but costs you the tyre and a refill so not cheap.

thanks for the heads up on that...might have gone out and spun off on the first corner.

The holts stuff did the trick. Tyre went solid and was fine for the 100mile trip home at 60mph.

You are right...the tyre is now feckd but tbh, i wouldnt be comfortable repairing a tyre that I might do 150 on!

See you again.!
