Track Day starter for novice
Discussion
Hi all
I am thinking of starting to go on a few track days (never done one before). Any recommendations for good tracks/companies to start with? Personal recommendations would be good, but also if there are any generally highly recommended.
preferably places with big run-offs! (aifield, etc) as I don't want to stuff my car!

Someone else asked this recently: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=18&t=431038 might answer your question, too.

Thanks driverrob. Looks like Bedford for a good 'starter-for-ten'. Any other recommendations from anybody?
How easy would Castle Combe be, as I am not too far from there?
I wouldn't recommend Castle Combe to be honest. There's a couple of tricky corners with not much run-off. Search youtube for Castle Combe + impreza and you'll probably find a video of a tank slapper on the last corner ending up in the Arnco. How easy would Castle Combe be, as I am not too far from there?
Fun track though.
