Have a look at the aptly titled "who's going on which trackdays" thread: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

I'll be there, look out for the PH sickers on the SW20.

Hi,

I will be there on the day, working for BaT, and available for sessions of instruction, should anyone be interested.

If there are any of you who haven't been to Rockingham before, or had instruction there previously, I would thoroughly recommend booking a session, ... it is a very technical circuit,it can be heavy on brakes, and especially tyres, if you don't understand how to drive it correctly. I will guarantee that I could save you more than BaT charge per session, just on tyre wear, let alone anything else!

I have worked at Rockingham since the day it opened, and feel that I can use six or more years of experience there, to help you get the best from your car!

Should you have any questions relating to the day, please feel free to ask, and I'll endeavour to answer them.

Look forward to seeing you all on Sunday, Howard

Yep - I'll be there in a silver clio (no longer a three-wheeler, Howard).

My brother will be driving too and it's his first time out - be nice to him!

See you there.

Cheers

Tom.

Hi Tom,

Yes I'll look after him, and make sure he doesn't abuse the Clio!! I think we timed it to perfection at Donington last time I saw you. I think Stu managed to get you home Ok, didn't he???

Look forward to seeing you on Sunday, Howard

Can you give (useful) instruction in an aeroscreened seven-a-like? I'll be there in my Striker and could also really use the help smile

Hi,

Yes, that is not a problem, provided it has a suitable passenger seat and seat belt/harness. I have an intercom that will take a couple of minutes to install in your helmet, and other than that, there are no problems. If any car doesn't have a passenger seat, it is always possible to use your tow car ( assuming you had one ) just for the instruction session. We would have to clear that with BaT, but I'm sure for the odd person, it wouldn't be a problem.

If anyone would like to jump in the lead car with me when we do the familiarisation laps, please feel free. Some circuits will allow me to take three people, and some will only allow one. I'm not sure what Rockingham's policy is at the moment. Whether it is one or more, you will need your helmet, and to have signed on and have the relevant wristbands.

Look forward to seeing you on Sunday, Howard

Myself and Garrick will be there in our red mr2 mk1 track car, and my work mr2 mk1 supercharger.
It will be our first time at Rock, and i am looking forward to it.
the supercharger needs a quick bit of work on the camber and alignment first though....

That's OK, try to pre-book with Bat, and try to have a session as early as you can on the day, then at least you have some idea of where you should be going. Look forward to seeing you on Sunday, Howard.
