Hiya.
I have a Fiat Punto 1.1 sitting outside. the gear box ate itself a month ago.

I has been thinking of doing this car up for track day for while. I will putting in bigger engine in. (1.6 to 2 litre) and better springs/shocks, and better brakes, and new bucket seat.

Would i get laughed out of track day session?
or am i better off buying dodgy pegouet 205 gti with no history or something.

For what it would end up costing I'd buy the Clio 16v I have for sale wink Ideal for what you want and cheap too!

You won't get laughed at. Lower it, stick some stickers on it and everyone will think it's a race car.

You wouldnt be laughed at, but I suspect there are better things you could do with the same money it has to be said. Cars such as a 205 or 309 GTi, a Clio 16v or even something like an old 325 Beemer would be a much better bet on track.
