Anyone do trackday car hire more cheaply than Bookatrack? ideally without having to pick it up and trailer it there/back?

Really want to do another trackday this year, but have zero leave spare and I'm already busy on the BaT weekend dates...but I don't have a fortune to spend on it either.

Am really looking for Caterham/Elise type of car rather than a prepped 205/Golf/similar. Got to be rwd, for certain.

Try http://www.track-club.com/fleetIndex.asp and/or have a chat with Stephen. Now winter is upon us there are deals to be done...

I think you are going to be hard pushed! You want to rent a (decent) track car for a day, have it delivered and collected and it be cheap? Nah!

I dont know what bookatrack charge to compare but Ben Elliotts prices are very reasonable for tuition/trackday and car hire

Which track are you going to?

find someone to share with - the track-club Caterham Roadsport works out at less than £300 if you share with someone else and that includes delivery, fuel, VAT and insurance.

TC - any good track (rather than airfield):-
Donington
Oulton
Cadwell
Anglesey
Brands
...

Stephen - have been trying to find a willing volunteer, but a few friends have said 'yeah, sounds good', then demurred when pushed later on...rather frustrating. The track-club fleet's expanded since I last looked, too...

Duncan - sorry mate, forgot you'd offered. I'll mail you with a few ideas later on...see if we can't find a mutually suitable date, place and car...

Have you noticed the two new dates that BaT have added in for Anglesey, the 14th October, and the 4th November??? Both are Sundays and both on the coastal circuit!

Joe, funny you should say that, had another look last night and spotted them! Busy on the 14th, but the November date is quite appealing...and even on my own would only be a tad over £500 for a nice little Caterham...and I could probably just about stretch to that...

Bear in mind BAT will have the car fuelled and ready to go at track, well maintained and reliable cars, shared with a mate you could be doing Anglesey for £500 all in which between you is only £250.
Thats good value in my book?
Talk to Jonny at BAT about some of his days, he is very good to deal with in my experience.

Rich

AD - probably a little out of my price-range

CGH - I've used BaT for years, trust Jonny and the others - took my 'teg initially and then their Caterhams since, even had a drive in the old Project Nutter (F20C into a Westy!).
When I looked the other day there weren't really any weekend dates on their calendar I was both free for and interested in the circuit, hence the question. But as noted above there's now a Sunday at Anglesey which I'm rather tempted by...

I'd be surprised if it was. I'm awaiting a call back from the proprietor to see if he can do anything for you. I'm sure the answer will be yes.

Just did a day with Lambogenie yesterday. Top fun made a nice change from runing my own cerbera and had tuition all day from ex f1 driver Ian Ashley who made me realise i am not a driving god but came away feeling i had definatly improved, give Russ a ring he says he can tailor days to suit individual or group needs.
