I'd agree, I've done a few with them (and a few with other commercial organisers) and they certainly get my vote. Always well run and excellent briefings which set the tone and standards of the day. I'd happily recommend them and will be on another of their events before too long.

Easytrack days are the best i've experienced.
Well run , good briefings, friendly staff.
They've been running T/D's for a long time and hence have a lot of long term customers , this is evident in the standard of driving on one of there days.
Easytrack days are usually quick , and tend to attract some pretty focused cars.
Nobbing about is'nt tolerated and good driving is encouraged - hence the red flag is'nt out every 15 mins - which makes for lots of quality track time.

I did an easytrack day at Cadwell yesterday, a pretty good day although the red flag did come out around 5 times. Probably more to do with the wet condidtions and the over enthusuastic driving of some of the hot hatches.

All in all a good day, plenty of time on track and it was almost dark when the chequered flag finally came out.

In simplistic terms, what would be the amount a beginner going along to a track day (no car) be expected to pay?

Watching is free. You need a car to take part. Hire from 300/day upwards if your's isn't suitable.

I would say the easytrack are the very best and run by real people who aren't up there own ars*es.
I have made booking mistakes and they have sorted it without moaning and huffing.
I usually look for them first when booking a trackday. The red flags thing isn't being over precautious, they only had them out once or twice at Oulton last week when there was no option because ot would have been disaster if they hadn't. It's a shame they aren't doing more of a percentage of the market but at least they do a good job of the ones they do rather than an average job of many, as the saying goes "quality not quantity'

Tizer, you can pay around a tenner to the organiser and go for a ride in some of the cars on the track, your always welcome to come for a spin with me although it's only a Mini, I leave my Porsche for nice weather ponsing around. I'm at Oulton at the end of this month if you fancy a spin. Some of the guys on here may have seen me on the track in the Gulf blue coloured Mini.

One of the best run trackdays there is. Well organised, down to earth and helpful and as a result have a large number of customers who use them on a regular basis who they go out of their way to accomadate. As a result typicaly lots of those on track know each other and are known to the organisers which usually means overall driving standards are courteous but quick.

They are a commercial organisation though so the odd bad apple can still be on the day and there can be driving experience days running in conjunction with trackday.
