I'm guessing that by buying a 240 cup you already have some experience of driving fast! Tuition is always a good thing. If you haven't been to bedford before, you can easily get lost on the circuit due to its width and the occasional unorthodox racing lines. Once you know your way round, they should focus on aspects of your driving to make you smoother, corner quicker with confidence and to balance the car.

its not like a first driving lesson, they are there to improve your skills, not teach you the skills - it can only be a positive thing (unless the person being taught thinks they are Michael Schumacher, but actually have the skills of Maureen from driving school)getmecoat

Tuition certainly a good idea. I had a 20min lesson in my Exige (which I hadn't taken on track before) at Donnington last week which was excellent. Even if you are proficient, and have driven other track cars of your own, a good tutor can never hurt !

Bedford sounds good - who organises those days ?

spcmarine, tried to email you through your profile but it said you weren't accepting them.

If you're meeting your mate with the Westfield, how about a meet in the Leatherhead Esso 'on the run' petrol station early Saturday morning for the convoy drive up?

My brother is coming into town, and we'll both be there. A Skyline GT-R and a US spec Mitsubishi Eclipse. Hope the weather is good. See you there.

Roads should be fairly clear that time of the morning on a Saturday, I'd hope..

Signing on is 7.30, with Briefing at 8.30, so I reckon leaving around 6.30 would get us there and leave a bit spare to grab some petrol and a bacon sarnie nearer the track? smile

Just done a quick RAC route thingy and it recons its about 90 miles, are there still average speed cameras about on the M1? If so that may be some thing to think about tongue out also I have just been told the range on the westfield is only 80 miles. Failing that it all sounds good
