hello all. Im just about to get a track day car for fun but have some questions that old hands may be able to answer
1 Im thinking of getting a big bmw,if taxed and tested, can it be insured cheaply for the 10 days per year ill use it? There must be a way?
2 If it cant be insured i was thinking of getting a car doly or trailer, would this be practical as my towing car is a mercesdes vito 2.2 litre diesel and the track is 60 miles away
3 Give me your top 3 trak day cars which can be bought for about 700 quid
4 Can i use an accident damaged car on a trackday as long as its safe to drive (ie minor rear shunt etc)
COME ON, SEND ME YOUR BRAIN PLUS CONTENTS

1) http://www.competition-car-insurance.co.uk/
see what they can do for you.
2) 2.2 Vito will be fine
3) would not go on track in such a cheap car
4) as long as it is road legal however just use your own judgement
see what they can do for you.

Hi
In answer to question 1, assuming you mean to use it on the road getting to the circuit: Yes see www.dayinsure.com
NTDWM but it's a very handy facility.
