Anybody doing Oulton on the 23rd Feb?
Discussion
I'm booked into this - price has gone down from £129 to £99, so I put the difference into an extra tuition session. Going for one in the morning and one in the afternoon to see how/if I improve.
It'll be my first track-day. I've done lots of karting and the Audi Experience at Silverstone, I realise these are very different - so I'm going in to learn.
If anyone has any advice, it would be greatly appreciated. Both in terms of setting up the car and myself.
It's a 25th Anniversary GTI PD Revo'd to 190bhp. Uprated grooved discs all round, Koni FSD suspension/Eibach springs, bigger rear ARB & poly bushed all round.

ive been asking the same kinda question over on the ST forum. Im running standard disks but uprated pads on a less than standard engine (circa 290bhp...).
The general concensus from the forum though is that your first trackday shouldnt be overly stressfull as you will spend more time learning the car and the track, which is sound enough advice really.
cant comment directly but arent the green stuffs the road compound pad? it then goes red, yellow i think in terms of how hard they are i think...
