I searched and couldn't find a thread like this, so i thought i'd start one.

Now, i don't know about others, but since i've been to one trackday last november, and got bitten by the bug, and wont be able to do another till end of february, i'm extremely interested to see other peoples exploits on trackdays. Especially watching how they drive, etc, i feel i could learn a few tips.

So, i hereby announce the unofficial official trackday video thread biggrin

please share your trackday videos on this thread!

p.s. I'm new to the forum, hi all smile

I'll start.

Here's some young lad at the wheel of my Ultima. He reckons he can pedal a bit:

Nice video of snetterton - will be doing a day up there soonish, but in a Porsche 924 (race prepped!).

Is the Ultima GTR paddle shift? i couldnt see any sign of heel and toe or hands moving during gear change. But then the changes did seem to take ages.

And Sean, wow, nice to "meet" you. Congrats on being the FIA GT3 champion - how awesome. I would love to be doing what you do, but instead im muddling through uni at the moment hehe.

Its fully manual and a shite gear stick, reminds me of formula ford! No modern heal and toe in that, as the brake pedal went too far past the throttle to do it.

Thanks smile Poor you, have fun haha!

Lucky, fek off!

I'll take my £5K elsewhere if you continue like that. Someone else can have 'TAMPAX' written across their helmet!!

Right hand gear change. I think Sean was being easy on it cos you can get it a little slicker.

Yeah. I can T&H but then I don't push the brake down as far and hard, so the accel is at the right height for me. Something I might look at though as I brake later and harder.

I am sure you can quick shift in it, but I was unfamiliar with it and didn't want the thing to break on me!

What car was that?

seems like there wasnt much grip at all and putting power down was hard?

would have been nice to see a whole lap though!

Methinks they have effectively killed the thread. It's hard to follow those.

It's my westfield on cold and old yokohama ao32's, there wasn't much grip as donington gets really greasy from the unburnt aircraft fuel that gets over the racetrack! Sadly, that's the only footage of it on a track day. This is a whole lap (Lydden) but in the dry biggrin

Not the greatest quality (camera kept misting up at Anglesey as it was a bit damp), nor that impressive give some of the excellent earlier footage! But here they are all the same.

A lap of Cadwell in a Caterham Superlight.
A few laps of Anglesey GP in the same car. A bit of play with an R400.
Some gooning following an Impreza.
