Hiya,

I'm there with a mate sharing a caterham hire,

Also taking the Noble out for its first leg-stretching of 2008, yay!

Can't wait, I've got 'the grin' already!

See you there!

Will do smile

We're heading up that morning - leaving at 6am should get us there in time (not the bit I'm looking forward to!)

heya

didn't take the noble out in the end - got cold feet with all the rain and was having too much fun in the caterham. My god it was wet! although the drying out in the afternoon helped muchly with finding more grip/speed!

Was in batcat #4 in the white helmet, sharing with a mate (his first trackday) in a black helmet.

had a fantastic day - really really good, felt I'd properly improved by the end of the day smile

Didn't see your S2000, were you in a caterham? Was gonna come say Hi but had no idea who you'd be!

Was there in my mates (baby) blue Caterham and still drying out now smile

He was in the white lid and I had the green one.

It's was my first track day in a 7 and I was impressed with it. Even in the torrential rain it was easy to control and totally predictable. Much more so than the comparatively lardy M3.

It was superb practice for wet driving and convinced me that I need to get a 7 smile

I saw a few spinners so hope nobody came away with too much damage.

Yeah, those caterhams do go well!. the blue one was going round nicely! but could'nt help but notice how twitchy it was under braking at the end of cooper straight in to surtees though..!! how good did that yellow ferrari sound though! cloud9

I'l post a few pics later

I had more than a few "moments" under braking and exiting on the power as well as a fair bit of aquaplaning (through Surtees and at the bottom of Paddock), but the car was so easy to catch that is was never a bit deal. In the M3 I would definately have spent some time mowing the grass smile

That Ferrari did sound amazing cool

Jonny - thanks for a great day (from the guys in #4) - had a fab time!!

M3MTH - didn't see your 205, but i saw it in your profile before the day, great to have it out and about eh smile

m3psm - was that the light blue one? you were flying round there!

grrr the yellow ferrari may have sounded nice (and looked fab!) but I would have appreciated being let past once or twice frown

Weather was horrible - but it was my first wet day on track and I felt I really learnt loads about grip ; finding it and keeping it. Came off once on the last turn; held it too tight, put too much power in and couldn't catch it quick enough frown

now, right, when's the next one!

That's the one, in "Mothercare" blue smile

It belongs to fellow PH'er "ultramarine" who is racing it this year.

It did seem to be very well set up, and apart from being soaked it was a pleasure to drive. Mine's in the workshop for the next few months so I hope to be out in the 7 a few more times instead before Spring comes smile
