Discussion
hi, looking thru the various oerganizers, preferably for a weekend early in April, and Bookatrack are running a day at rockingham. Can anyone tell me what the "international super sportscar circuit" is like please? (especially with respect to the poximity of any large barriers/walls!)

International Long is slightly longer (2.5 vs 2.1 miles) and includes the chicane at Turn 1 on the oval. The Super Sports Car circuit doesn't take in the final hairpin and bypasses the chicane at Turn 1. They changed the config to keep the F3 cars happy - they were taking off going through the chicane where they bottomed out and lost all aero.
In reality - there's not much in it and 90% of the circuit is the same in both cases. The infield is fairly safe, mainly 2nd and 3rd gear stuff with good run-off. The banking is obviously less so - high speed and zero run off. That said, you've got gravity on your side and people tend to be wary enough of the 5 foot high concrete wall that they don't try and take the p!ss round the banking.
