Is it normal for my E46 M3 to lose oil on a trackday?

Just wondering if other people lose oil, when they have a full day at a track day. I lose just under a litre, i think. wondering if that is normal?

I can't say for certain with your car but most cars do use that level on a hard track day, mine certainly do, you just need to recognise this and top it up during the day especially if its a wet sump engine

If you lose it ... then no its not right.

If you use it ... it seems a little heavy but if its ok in everyday road use then I wouldn't worry about it. Is it high mileage?

That seems quite a lot to be honest, mine uses hardly any on a full track day.
