I hear that the shortest routes from UK to the Ring are all speed restricted.
How can I find the non-limited autobhans for a blast?

if you went rotterdam, nijmegen, over the border to the 57, that's unrestricted for a good bit but only two lane (there's a hell of a bump on it at the moment, near rheinberg - 80kmh signs)
if you come off the (dutch)a74 at venlo and pick up the 61 at the border, that's unrestricted for a good while, again, only two lane, quite bendy and also can get quite busy
if you go over the border round Aachen the a4 has a bit of derestricted, but it's quite busy

anyway, you'll head down on the 61, then either stay on it, or go on a bit of the 1, which is quiet and partly unrestricted, but it had a load of roadworks last time i went that way

basically, you're not very far from the border, and you have to go right past a very busy part of gremany round cologne, so don't expect too much

there are unmarked cars out there too, especially south of Cologne and Bonn
