Hi

Desperate to get back on track as soon as possible...one of the few days near me in the coming weeks is one of Thruxton's own (circuit organised) track days.

Anyone ever been on one - what are they like?

According to the site they look horribly restrictive - 90dB noise limit*, sessioned, 1 hour's track time total (for £150), and it looks like a mandatory instructor for the duration!

  • Mazda RX-8 should pass that no?
I did my ARDS there and love the circuit (and the instructors to be fair!), but wonder whether its worth spending a little more time, cash and a day off going for the open pit at Snetterton on Thu 24th instead.

Also - I assume they don't mix experience day traffic with track day bods? (they do on ARDS tests)

Any help appreciated,

thanks

Go for the OPL at Snetterton, much better. Doubt the Noble would pass the 90db limit anyway!

That's not bad value if you actually want the instruction but you can get far better VFM without instruction elsewhere.

I doubt my lawnmower would pass a 90dB limit.

Hehe thanks - the nible is sold now, but no; it would scrape a 98dB and that's it

RX8 should be quieter- but kindof agreeing OPL at Snetterton may be better

Not really after the instruction; a bit maybe but not the whole time
