Anglesey track day 22/05/08
Discussion
Which circuit layout are they running?
If it's Coastal then watch out for Rocket as it's a tight uphill turn onto a short flat - get your braking done (usually from a very high speed) early on. Peel is fun and there's many lines through the right-left-right into the Corkscrew.
And watch out for the pit wall on the exit of Corkscrew as you'll instinctively want to hold a tight line when you come out of the corner, but doing so could end up with you face first into the wall - the wider grassier option is best.

Ye its the coastal circuit. i was watching a video from a 205 doing the coastal circuit (just to learn the track a bit better) and i did notice him taking a very tight line through the corkscrew! the reason we are on the track day is due to me and my mate going to watch a practice on saturday!
looks a very nice smooth track to be on!!!
Rocket does look as if the brakes are going to take a hamering as its full throttle from the banking, i would say triple figures will be reached (even in a 106 hahahaha)

You'll have a great time. One of my pals is there in his Honda'd Elise so say hi. No chance of me getting on with the tight noise restrictions. Rocket is great fun, uphill braking zone makes it a real test of nerves. Here's a (squashed) vid of us from last year to help with the revision:

Myself and another PH'er were there yesterday in a 24 year old Red (or Orange depending on which angle and panel you were looking at!) Golf Gti, first track time with the car and first trip to Anglesey and had an amazing day.
PHOTOS:
I took a "few" photos throughout the day (I think the final count was in excess of 2,500 photos so you're car is more than likely been snapped!!) from various places around the track and I'm in the process of sorting through them and will post them all on my site for you to have a look through. Some poeople gave me their email addresses on the day who wanted some photos, to clear things up, it's not my line of business, it was simply my first attempt at track photography with my new camera and lens so I took as many as possible all day. I won't be charging for any of the photos you can have them all FREE...I'll post the link to them tonight or tomorrow.

Resorted to setting up my home MacPro as a web server since it's never turned off, got TB's of storage and I'm going to be taking a load more photos at future track days and . So for now you can view the photos from Anglesey 22/05/08 at the following address:

Please bear in mind that this is hosted on a home broadband connection, and whilst I get ~13MB down I only have 0.75MB upload speed so if things are going slow have a little patience but I wouldn't mind some feedback on the speed just out of curiosity.

I spotted your post on here saying you were attending so I took an extra few photos of your car for you!Ben
Let me know if you want them all full res and without the watermarks (free of course to a fellow PH'er), I can zip them all up for you to download although it'll be 350MB so it'll take a while :-)
