Schedule for sessioned days?
Discussion
I am involved in a sessioned track day next Tuesday as my assesment for the semi final of the Dunlop Race Acedemy 2008.
It will be at Donington. 7 x 30 mins
How do these sessions work?
What time will drivers briefing be and first sign on time?
Do you need your plastic part of your licence or the paper part too?
7 x 30mins is only 3.5hrs so how is the day split up is it put into overall morning and afternoon bookings?
I will be getting this information in due course but right now I am too excited and can't wait and I want to mentally plan and psyche myself up properly for the day.
Looks like an hours worth of driving for me half an hour The Dunlop Academy FR race car and half an hour in with Calum Lockie in his 968cs.
It will be at Donington. 7 x 30 mins

You should get a schedule from the organiser showing which session you are in and what time they are.It will be at Donington. 7 x 30 mins

A typical day would be:
Sign on and briefing is the same for all drivers usually around 8/8.30.
There may be a session devoted to sighting laps at about 0900.
Sessions are from the hour to half past and from half past to the hour
You will be in the same "slot" in each hour
Break for lunch (an hour)
Same again in the afternoon.
Finish about 5pm.
Yes you need both parts of your license.
Thanks for that.
There will be seven of us sharing two cars I believe.
Have put my paper counterpart in with my licence now..
Only driven Donny once before although it was under tuition with Eugene O'Brien.
Hope I get the later sessions not the first 'green' one's.
I would like the track to be rubbered up a bit but then the afternoon tends to have more traffic...
