Just got back from a fantastic day at Oulton Park and just wanted to say well done to BHPtrackdays for a very well organized day and gotta say that from what i experienced everybodies driving was impeccable and courteous.

No overinflated egos and trackday rules followed to the letter.

everybody i spoke to were really nice people.
This is what trackdays are all about.

Have to say, the standard of driving was high in general.

Was a fantastic day and i'll have a few good memories which is what it's all about.

A big thanks must go to Chassis33 and Sniff Petrol for allowing me to bug the st out of them all day!

Enjoyed that! thumbup

I also meant to say what brilliant organisation by BHP it was and to top that they refunded me with some money because I paid months ago and when they dropped the price to get the numbers up they thought it was unfair for me to pay the original price. Very honest I thought.

Actually I think the first one is that S2000, although if I was lapping that fast it would explain how I managed 6 mpg....

Ok, I'm afraid with that footage I found it hard to tell them apart. Seriously though, 6 mpg? thought that would be impossible on standard fuel injection - I manage about 13 mpg in the dry and that's with dirty great big jets on my carbs. I even got less than 20 mpg out of the diesel estate towing it there and back - good job I bike to work now to balance out my carbon footprint!

I would seriously be looking for a leak or get it check for overfuelling. What's the consumption like on the road?

Chuffing terrible, but as I don't use it that often it doesn't bother me.

I tried really hard to get decent mpg on my last trip to London and managed 33, so it's not always that bad.

It does pop and bang quite a bit for 1.8 though.

Track shut early, I think, because that S2000 made contact with the barrier. I saw it go off and hit the tyre wall at Knickerbrook.

Not badly damaged, but I think they thought it best to shut given there was only a few minutes remaining.
