Finally found the time to book my first track day, Goodwood on 6th October. Looking forward to really trying the old girl out (car not the wife). I took my Renault 21 Turbo round Goodwood years back, around 1991 IIRC, when I was working with F.Renault and remember having a great time, anybody else here going could offer a few hints and tips to an aging amateur ?

Great...

First session take it very gentle, get to know the circuit and build your speed up during the day.
Keep an eye on your mirror and let faster car pass, you many need to lift off so they can get passed.
St. Mary's is very slippy in the morning.
Above all have fun

Definitely get some instruction, if available - did my first trackday at Bedford yesterday and it made a big difference!

I am an ARDS Instructor and do many freelance training days.
We would book a track day and I would spend all day with you.

Being from the TVR world myself I have many satisfied drivers who can credit the experience.

Please do contact me if you wish to talk through options.
