Did anyone get any progress with these guys?

We're now being pursued by a debt collecting agency for an invoice they issued for a magazine they never published.

Presumably people paid their subs and never got the mag too?

Nice!

likewise i've had the debt collectors on this morning. the woman seemed to be spotting a trend with the advertisers though - i wished her the best of luck and told her it wasn't going to happen!

Cheeky Barstewards! I got one copy of the 'new version' and that was it.
(goes off to check bank account for any direct debit activity...)
Is the debt collector working on behalf of P1?

Yes. P1 Media Ltd were factoring their invoices through RBS Invoice Financing but RBS pulled the plug due to P1 Media Ltd breaching the contract (alledgedly!).

It'll be interesting to see how long this thread runs for. Before anyone censors this post the above information was given to me by the Debt Collection agency employed by P1 Media Ltd!

Have just had confirmation from RBS (for whom the debt collectors work) that they have called off the dogs.

Who knows?

Sounds like a total scam to me.

It's a real shame because Circuit Driver, for all its faults, was a very good source of info.

I've just received an email asking for updates to the track day diary so presumably still on the go. I agree - Cricuit Driver was very good so it would be nice to think they can pull the current mag round in due course.

Well, it rose from the grave... this time the threat of choice is solicitors/winding up etc etc.

I'd have hoped P1 Media would have sorted this out with RBS invoice finance by now. Seems pretty odd that companies have been invoiced for a magazine that was never published and are now being threatened re money we don't even owe them. Surely it should be as simple as P1 Media giving RBS Factoring a copy of the credit note they've issued me?

Very, very dull.

Any other organisers had the threatening letter?

Grrrrr - I'd just about managed to forget about that whole saga...my wife and kid paid my subs but I only ever got one out-of-date issue. I won't say anything more as I don't want the mods to get the wobblies again.

Don't think they can get the wobblies about it because we're just talking about totally provable facts.

I'd be quite interested to see how much (of taxpayers?) money RBS will be willing to waste taking us to court for this. The solicitors letter must have cost them something and then to put it into court will cost them even more.
