Hi All,

I'm based in Cork in Ireland and I'm flying over to do a recce before travelling with car - a bit of a pain to be honest from Ireland. Wondering if anyone is going over this weekend. Would love to get a few laps in and get a good feel for the place. If anyone is going over and would have the time to let me be a pax for a few laps please contact me. Currently have an E46 M3 and done a few trackdays before. Previous cars include Elise S1 and E36 M3.

is this the only weekend you can go? as both the weekend before and the one after have more time open for tf on both sat + sun - i'd probably suggest going one of these instead. i'm trying to plan a trip for one of these dates and would be happy to take you out if you want

Hi Conleth,

thanks for that. I have looked at the timetable for TF and the weekend of Sat 18th/ Sun 19th October looks to be best. I have booked flights over and will fly in to Frankfurt Hahn on Saturday am and return Monday am. This should hopefully give me a chance to get a good few laps in. Any recommendations for accomodation? Have you done many laps out there, and what car are you currently driving?

probably m3. not booked accomodation yet but when tf days like this tends to be get in where you can as most places busy. have a look at

www.nurburgring.org.uk/where_to_stay.html

for some suggestions, or i'd just searched booking.com for previous trips. done about 35-40 laps so you may not learn alot from me! many more experienced ringers usually around though
