Depends on the organiser - some you have to book (e.g. Goldtrack), some are first come first served (e.g. PCGB). The garages are huge, you can usually find someone to share with.

Winshent, if you are doing Silverstone South. I thought that I had read somewhere that there no garages on the south circuit.
cheers

I just tend to leave my stuff where I parked the car, when not on the circuit. If there is an alternative, I would be interested in knowing what it is.

I take nothing in the car on track.
Cheers

Take a tarp. South Circuit car park is OK. There will be lots of people there to keep an eye on it.

As mentioned the South Circuit has no garages just a car park. I take a tarp, well a big blue plastic sheet from B&Q, which covers my road wheels/tool chest/jerry cans/trolley jack and anything else I choose to leave under it. I've had no problems with things 'going missing' or even people having a cheeky look up to now(crosses fingers for tomorrow after saying this).

Track marshals will not allow you out with anything flapping around in the car so I'd look out for a cover of some kind if you have one in the shed/garage or just a few bin bags/black sacks to put the wheels in/cover the tools.

I'm there tomorrow (Golf Mk1 in white) with a fair amount from the Northloop forums. Pop over and say hi if you like and we'll make some room for you to put your stuff with ours if you want to.

hiya,

I was there too (dark blue race-prepped MR2 Mk1) - good day eh! And the rain came just at the right time...

I wondered why there were so many caged beasts with nurburgring logos on them!!?!!!

Did you see the TVR writeoff? he was overtaking us when he overcooked it and did that....scarily awesome moment (in a bad way, looked expensive....)

Hi there chap...yes I saw the TVR, well what was left of it. We where on our warm up lap when everyone got the red flag. looked messy.

I've got some footage of the day and am sure I've got some with you in...don't know if it's following for laps on end or just seconds. I'll post it on Northloop over the weekend.

Was the last trip out for me and the Golf Mk1 (white one usually on 3 wheels) as am selling due to circumstances changing (blatant plug...see Motorsports section in classifieds).

The weather held out...I just got the last packing done before the drizzle came. What a good day that was.

Excellent day at Silverstone South yesterday, 1st time round for me, Excellent track etiquette and well driven i thought, Really surprised at the speed of the Bently, Rather a lot of red light end to sessions in morning, but really smooth in the afternoon.
