Used trackday tires

Where can I find used track day tires (especially toyo r888)in Uk and in Germany? Not completely worn, but good for few hard track days.

I'd suggest that they'd still be fitted to the owners car waiting to go out and do the last few hard trackdays before they are down to the webbing and ready to be replaced.

although you might get lucky in the classifieds or on ebay

If you're needed road legal tyres then ebay is your best bet.

If you've got a spare set of wheels and can swap the wheels when you get to track, then once again ebay can be a good source, but also http://www.rallyusedparts.co.uk/ - that's where I got 7 used (i.e. no good for racing) Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tyres from for about £70.

what car are you using? -- I like R888's and on my heavy car (1400kg) the fronts are good for about 3 hard trackdays in dry conditions ie say +200 miles per event. Rears about 5 outings. As NS says finding some with life left in them will be harder unless someone has changed their plans.

what size(s) do you want? - might be able to help with some 18" ones! 235x40 or 265x35

George Polleys do used Yoko AO48s, depending on what size you are after (I use 13"s on my Locoblade)... Normally about £15 a corner with quite a bit of life left
