which track day car

can anyone advise me what would make the best trackday car mrs mk2, crx , or mx5, at the moment i am tracking a lotus 7 kit but want a cheap car so as not to bin me pride n joy

Depends on budget
get yourself a golf gti 16v
or a 205 gti

rover 216/220 gti. get them on ebay for around £300. add some go faster bits, strip it and it would be a giggle. yadda yadda fwd moan moan moan who cares, at that price its about coming home with a smile on your face surely?

most 205s around that price are rotten, believe me i have seen enough to know...

I went for the MX5.

Cheap, light, simple, RWD, great support network of parts / expertise.

Good luck with what ever you decide to get. I've done two track days now and can't get enough!
