Having a large open day in Reading in July this year (expecting 8000 people!) and I though it would be goods to get a track day company along to flog their wares.

Having searched I see that many internet companies are 'brokers' for other companys.

Can anyone recommend a 'real' Comapny that covers the South for me to approach?

Thanks in advance!

just out of interest, why a trackday company and not one of the many local motor clubs. no disrespect to track day companies but they are commercial enterprises whereas motor clubs are enthusasts with a passion for their hobby. i am not saying that trackday companies are not passionate just that it might help the local motor clubs raise their profile, increase their membership etc etc. many cant afford advertising and organising events is not cheap either... i think you might find they are very grateful and could generate a good display

I think the tricky bit will be convincing the track day company that it will be worth their while to attend.

I'm liking the local motor club - will definitely invite them.

Still looking for a track day company - Its an Army Open day so huge proportion of the attendees will be 'petrolhead' age and mentality and I’m determined to persuade them to move away from the max power mentality to proper car stuff!

As for if its worth a companies time - minimal charge to attend (to cover costs only), 8000 people. That’s a lot of publicity for a couple of people with a board, a video and some leaflets!

Any suggestions?

Hello,

My name is Eduardo de Sousa and i run a Mustang GT Experience.

www.mustanggtexperience.com. I am not to sure what you are looking for, but i could bring the car and perform some fast laps or drifting laps or else if you would have the space or the field to do so.

I Would need to know a bit more about it and it would have to cover costs if you are interested.

Thank you.

Eduardo.

Dan, give Colin Jebson a call at Javelin Trackdays - he ran the two Fighting Torque events at Wattisham/Woodbridge and nearly exclusively uses military airfields. Just tell him you know me through work. Its not a bad idea inviting a Track Day company to the open day, it will at least give the lads something to look at! I'm busy trying to start a motorpsort club at Waterbeach - we've got our own WW2 airfield out back, and it has lots of potential. Was also thinking of doing a trackday at Snetterton when it warms up - fancy bringing the Tuscan along?
