Yeah I was there. Awesome day and I actually quite liked the shorter circuit layout. Not sure why they did it though.
Also, quite a lot of people drifting, they didn't seem as strict as usual about that and people overtaking into corners..

Yup.. we enjoyed that one... shorter circuit seemed ok too...

The white GT3 did a very good double spin onto the pit straight before going home at lunchtime I noticed, for a pitch inspection i would think..biggrin

That little white 205 was flying.. he was with me all the way down the back straight to 140mph.. before tripodding into the chicane..

Had a fun dual with the boosted blue Focus RS on A/P's.. and pretty much even..
The blue RS4 avant also..

Im bringing my Cups next time..!

Hi all,

Hope you all had a great day. The weather was perfect and dry, ideal for driving and photos!

As the regulars at BA might have noticed, the way we sell photos has changed. As a trial we were selling photos on the day rather than via the website.

This means that photos from the day have not been uploaded to the usual address. If you didn't have the chance to come and see us during the day drop me an email and I will send you some samples and an order form. Our address is photos@motorsportvision.co.uk

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me.

Which layout did they use? I'm going on Saturday, was hoping for the full circuit.

Thought I would find you on here!! Firstly, must correct you, mines an RS not ST. tongue out

They were a couple of great sessions torwards the end of the day, cracking fun! The M3 goes very well, which didn't surprise me. Will keep an eye out for you next time. By the way, my excessive brake pedal travel issue came to light on the way home, the n/s front hub nut had worked loose causing the movement between disc/caliper to push the pads back in everytime I turned a corner. Luckily I stopped to check it as it got worse to find about 2 inches of play in the hub assembly! eek

there seemed to be a lot of very tuned cars out there! A fiesta with 350 bhp for starters!

I was at Bedford on Friday 20th. I have to say that I was expecting it to be rather flat, open and boring, but as it turns out, I really enjoyed the circuit (3.8 mile GT layout). I found that whilst you can use all the kerbs, they do affect the grip, making it rather fun as the tyres go from one to the other.

The circuit was also quite easy to learn, so after just a few laps you could start leaning on the car properly. Best bits are the very fast lefthander after the first wiggly section, and the fast chicane after the long straight.

Another good thing was the driving standards - save for a couple of people with occasional brain fade moments, everyone seemed to drive with courtesy and vigilance.

I went last year. And I'm going again next weekend for most of your reasons, having really enjoyed it last year. I picked up the "flow" of the circuit quite quickly and it let me start to explore the cars* ability.

  • Obviously I was stunning but the car was the weakest link....honest...

Hi Nathan.. looks like the disc was holding your hub on then.. it makes sense as your pads will be getting knocked right back.. hence your long pedal, i was suprised as A/P's are pretty robust and shouldnt fade.., but having said that tho', I found mine were starting to go off too at the hairpin before the back straight, i had a long pedal once.. and i'm onto it as we speak..

It was fun sliding around on the last session, as i was on my road PS2's its easier to catch, I dont drive like that on cups as they tend to let go and snatch more aggresively..

Look into some KW3 coilovers for yours next.. I'm sure you will be quicker with 4 wheels on the ground at the same time..! a front roll bar upgrade may be a quicker low cost solution and most likely a common upgrade.. leave the engine alone for now its not short of 'go' down the straights..!

Funnily enough the next project on the car is the suspension. I already have a full set of powerflex bushes and H&R uprated anti-roll bars ready to go on. I'm just waiting untill funds allow coilovers then I'll do it all at once! biggrin

RS4 did all right didnt it! considering it was only bought alomg as a Towcar for my Yellow Westfield smile It just needs a proper set of tyres and brakes pad that arent through to the metal and it will go REALLY well!

I had a great day.

Perfect conditions.

Fairly good standard of driving from everyone I thought.

MUCHO FUN!

My friend had some on board footage which he has yet to get round to uploading because he is primarily a lazy slacker. smash

Running wide again on the exit..!

I've got PS2's on my 996TT now. Great road tyre... but I had Toyo R888's on before and the difference is even bigger than I thought it would be on track!
