Was a really fun good day smile

Had a great few laps chasing the graphite GT3, lots of fun. beer

Someone learnt the embarrasing way that the blue flag means pull over faster cars want to pass, not try and speed up to stay infront wink It was so obvious a spin was fast appraching and thats exactly what happened about 3 corners later.

Had to head off early as I'd nothing left on my front brake pads and rear tyres were looking decidedly bald biggrin

Will try and upload a video later smile

We had a great day too, but unfortunately on the very last lap when I was just about to overtake one of those Mk1 Escort Mexicos that I had been chasing for ages I snapped a con rod and that was the end of that, another engine bites the dust!

The Pug had a good ride home on the back of a tow truck!

Yes, but I don't think it was over-revving at the time - I slowed down before the first big left hander at the top of the first straight, dropped it in to third and it just lost power - could be it went a bit high and I didn't notice - only done two trackdays with that engine, so I'm not happy!

On the up side I was planning to get a new head with bigger valves and stuff anyway, just need to do the bottom end as well now!

Luckily still plenty of GTI6 lumps around at not much money

Great pics - I have a video of me overtaking your Ferrari, not very good as it was a cheapo camera my mate had, but you can view it here: http://s433.photobucket.com/albums/qq53/andyjstone...

Quite tempted by a CD myself.. he hasn't sorted them into car types like he usually does, they appear to be in the order he took them.. and I was on track once it became OPL first.. thumbup

That surface looks pretty good for an airfield - better than I would have thought. How does it compare with the surface on a conventional circuit?

Thanks

Abingdon is one of the better airfield circuits, still not as good as a proper track but has loads of run off, it does have a few crappy bits.
