Most trackdays don't allow single seaters but you'd have to confirm with the TDO that you are looking at going with.

There have been single seaters at every trackday I've done in the last couple of years. Racers with wings or dedicated toys like Sprint Rs. I heard a rumour MSV are going to ban them on trackdays though.

I don't remember seeing any on Circuit Days events or MSV whilst I've been there and I'd be pretty hesitant about having them on one of our Trackaction-Online days.

It is tricky as you obviously don't want too massive a differential between cars that it could become dangerous but at the same time cars like Radicals etc could well have the same kind of lap times as a single seater and they can get in because they are two seaters and potentially road legal. I guess it's down to where you draw the line and judging from how few I've seen at events I think that most of the days I go to wouldn't normally allow it.

to an OMS single seater to use on track-days.

Lights too as we run track evenings here.

Well, one of my mates runs a Sprint R so I see it at almost every trackday we do. He has run at Circuit Days, BaT and Easytrack events at various tracks, including MSV locations, so I guess those guys have at least allowed them in the past. Single seat trackday toys like that aren't nearly as fast as a race car but one of the main reasons I wouldn't buy one is that I expect them to get caught in a blanket ban at some stage. There was some discussion here last year and it proved to be a very grey area for exactly the reasons you highlight. For my money, two seat race cars make a mockery of the speed differential argument but the visibility issue is a factor.

That's all fair comment, I get to about ten days a year plus the ones we run ourselves but I don't remember the last time I saw a single seater out there - may just not be many people using them? scratchchin

i like what youve done to your OMS , did you buy or make up your wings for your car ?
i have friends who recentley attend a circuit days track day at Anglesey , who informed me of the single seaters at track days , so i am looking at getting a set of wings , + purchasing a dedicated set of rims + slicks . just for track days , i would like to put the Jedi a round Oulton Park , how is your OMS for noise testing ?

Dubai Autodrome don't do noise testing biglaugh

Although now they have introduced a rule that all cars on track days must be road-registered. loser kind of defeats the object of it IYAM.

I had the wheel covers made locally, along with the fitting of the front/rear lights and brake light switch/lights.

You do have to be aware that the other drivers might not be able to see you that well and drive reasonably cautiously - but then your accelleration is good enough to let you hang back and pick your overtaking spots. I never had any incidents out here on track days - even with the knobs in their Lamboraris not observing track etiquette...
