Would not risk IMO - Hire a car instead and purchase some insurance.....

Or buy a track car....

All IMO

If you do not have your employers consent I guess you could loose your job if they found out!
Safer to ask them first.......... (unless you are planning on leavingbiggrin )

Motorsport Events include this in their briefing.

'There's a photographer here today. If you're off sick, here with someone you shouldn't be with, or have brought your company car...... we advise you to remove your number plates before going on track'

It is something which will always be a temptation - but I really wouldn't - if you stack a company car, not only will you be instantly dismissed - you'll also have a rather large bill to pay for its replacement.

I took my company car on a couple of trackdays, but then It is my company <LOL>

A mate of mine did stack hit company car using on a hill climb when his competition car packed up. fortunetly he was due to go on holiday for 2 weeks on the monday, so the company car ended up being rebuilt while he was away and before he went back to work... cost him a bit though...

Regardless of it being your company car you should ask yourself if it will be fit for a trackday. A trackday puts a lot more stress on a car than driving it fast on the road. Brakes and tyres in particular.

I get a new one every 6 months so not to worried about the long term effects on the wear etc, this is the only time I have actually got something that would be fun to drive on a track though, hence thought I might take it to a few over the summer months

Rugged enough to shrug off a meeting with crash barriers or some muppet driving into you?

Even if a car is new that's no guarantee that it will put up with track punishment. Within a few laps you could suddenly, without much warning, find you've got no brakes and are on the grass, in the armco or worse still in the back of another car. What about telling us what sort of car it is?

Unless it's your company or you have some hold on the boss I wouldn't recommend it.

1. Go down the auctions
2. Find something that appears straight with a long MOT and some tax
3. Buy it cheap
4. Insure it.
5. Thrash it
6. Dump it in another auction

Don't see many of those around these days.

They look just like a 3/4 scale 405.
